Continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition !

[mk_blockquote style=”quote-style” font_family=”none” text_size=”12″ align=”left”]“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King Jr.[/mk_blockquote]

Psalm 34:19

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all.

James 1:2-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

2 Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. 3 Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.

The Perseverance of Faithfulness

He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much… Luke 16:10

Stay faithful to persevere in the daily challenges.

  • When you struggle to have hope, cling to Him anyway.
  • When your plan isn’t working, trust Him anyway.
  • When you are weary, rest in Him anyway.

The Perseverance of Prayer

Lk 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

  • Persistent faith keeps asking, keeps coming, despite prolonged difficulty.
  • Persistent faith does not give in or give up.
  • Keep on praying, believing that God will answer.
  • Persistence is a choice.

The Perseverance of Process

Gal 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Discouragement can distort our vision and derail our purpose.

You must see WHO you want to be……

You must see WHERE you want to be……

Php 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

God is in control of the results.

Persistent Christians Feed Their Spirit

[mk_blockquote style=”quote-style” font_family=”none” text_size=”12″ align=”left”]“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” –Matthew 4:4[/mk_blockquote]

Persistent Christians Control Their Thought Life

2Co 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ;

Heb 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Heb 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Heb 12:3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that YOU will not grow weary and lose heart.
