Freedom from sickness and bondage comes from knowing the truth.
John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (NKJ).
We must know what the benefits of Calvary are before we can appropriate them by faith.
SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL HEALING
The two redemptive blessings that Christ brought to the world are salvation and healing – deliverance from sin and sickness.
Jesus has been our own substitutionary sacrifice bearing both our sins and our sicknesses on Calvary in order for us to be set free!
As born again believers we do not tolerate sin in our lives because Jesus bore our sins. Neither do we need to tolerate sickness in our bodies because Jesus bore our sickness.
Mat 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”
Psa 107:20 He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Isaiah 53:4-5
“Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (NIV).
He made our griefs His own, and our sorrows as if they were His. He loaded them up and carried them on His back, so we wouldn’t have to.
He took them from us, but for it to do us any good, we must release them.
Lack of knowledge of God’s word along with doubt and unbelief hinder us from receiving from God.
Prov 4:20-22 “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh” (NKJ)
- There must be the attentive ear. “Incline your ear to my sayings”.
- There must be the steadfast look. “Do not let them depart from your eyes”.
- There must be an open receiving heart. “Keep them in the midst of your heart”.
HEALING FOR ALL
Is it still the will of God to heal all who have need of healing?
The greatest barrier to the faith of many who seek healing, is their uncertainty as to whether it is the will of God to heal all.
Read The Will.
The Bible contains God’s will and testament in which He gives to us all of the blessings of redemption. Anything contrary to His will is forgery. Jesus not only died as the testator, He was resurrected and is the executor of the will. Jesus is our representative at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 9:15
“For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance– now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant” (NIV).
The healings performed by Jesus were done as a revelation of God’s will for humanity.
John 6:38
“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me” (NIV).
Uncertainty Corrected.
According to scripture there is one who asked for healing with uncertainty in his mind. He did not know what Christ’s will was regarding healing. Jesus immediately confirmed His will.
Mark 1:40-41
“A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean’. Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing’, he said. ‘Be clean!’” (NIV).
It is God’s will to heal. God wills to heal all. Settle it forever (2 Peter 3:9).
Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (NKJ).
STRONGS CONCORDENCE – GREEK
Principalities: 746 arche – : the first place, principality, rule, magistracy; used of angels and demons.

Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
WHY DOES SICKNESS AND BONDAGE COME UPON US?
Lack Of Knowledge Of The Word.
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (NKJ).
Unforgiveness.
Ephesians 4:29-32 “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you” (NKJ).
Through Disobedience.
1 Samuel 15:22 “Then Samuel said: ‘Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams’” (NKJ).
Lack Of Wisdom.
Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (NKJ).
James 1:12-17 “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (NKJ).
WHO BRINGS SICKNESS UPON US?
John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (NKJ).
HEALING: A PROCESS
Acts 3:7-11
Peter had to reach down and start pulling him up before the lame man’s healing began. There is something YOU have to do. God is not going to just lift you up out of sickness. There has to be action on our part.
There is that moment when the healing is immediate, but there is also that process during which action is required from our side before the precise moment of immediate healing. This process can take seconds or minutes, hours, days, or even weeks and months before the healing begins.
We have to look to God, look to our source and know that God works through supernatural means. He also works through material means. He works through prayer. He works through the word of faith. He works through medicine. He works through exercise. He works through good nutrition, but He is the source of our healing.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY HEALING?
God wants to heal you. No matter what your physical problem may be, confess Him as your healer and miracle worker. Make up your mind to be healed. God loves you. His healing power is a gift. All you have to do is receive it as a gift.
Ask The Father In Jesus’ Name And Believe.
The first thing blind Bartimaeus did was cry out. When people tried to silence him, he cried even louder. Do not give up and do not waver. If you feel so ill that you can barely endure it, cry out to God for mercy and for healing.
Mar 10:46 And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside.
Mar 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mar 10:48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mar 10:49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”
Mar 10:50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.
Mar 10:51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”
Mar 10:52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
Give God Thanks.
After asking God to heal you, immediately start thanking Him for your healing. You overcome by the “blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony” (Revelation 12:11).
The Power Of Agreement.
Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” (NKJ).
God Performs His Word.
When you have learned what the Bible requires of you regarding healing and you have obeyed those requirements (acted on them), God will perform His Word. According to Jeremiah 1:12, God Himself looks over His Word twenty-four hours a day with a sharp eagle eye to perform it.. He performs His Word – not your version of it You must do exactly as the Word says.
If you stop quoting scripture, God stops working. God’s Word has already been spoken and written. What it says will automatically be done if you let it. God will perform any verse of Scripture for any person who will obey.
When disease comes and tries to fasten itself onto you, those verses from the Bible that you have memorised, those words inside you, have already come out the mouth of God. Those same verses coming out your mouth will bring power and victory.
Call The Elders To Anoint With Oil.
James 5:14-15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” (NKJ).
Sick: 770 astheneo – to be weak, to be feeble, to be without strength, to be powerless, to be weak in means, to be needy, to be poor, to be feeble, to be sick.
Lay Hands On The Sick.
Mark 16:18 “They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (NKJ).
Sick: 732 arrhostos – : without strength, weak, sick.
The laying on of hands is for all believers and all churches. The casting out of devils is for all believers and all churches. You have to learn what God’s Word says, then do it. When you do God’s Word, you become established and your faith becomes stronger. God will confirm His Word with signs following.
